Also known as "Ioannis Daskalogiannis", the International Chania Airport in Crete is the second largest airport on the greek island. The airport buses depart 7 times a day from the airport, which is located in the western side of Crete, 20 minutes drive away along the main road network. Rental cars in Chania are available in the International Arrivals Hall Area, next to the information desk. The airport has a long history. It was set up in 1959, and rebuilt twice.
